Development of Fear through Classical Conditioning

John B. Watson's findings from the Little Albert experiment suggest that classical conditioning can explain how some fears develop. By repeatedly pairing a previously neutral stimulus with an unconditioned stimulus that naturally elicits fear, an individual can be conditioned to fear the neutral stimulus alone.
