Distinction Between Negative and No Correlation
It is important to distinguish between a negative correlation and no correlation. A negative correlation indicates a clear inverse relationship where one variable increases as the other decreases. In contrast, no correlation means there is no consistent relationship between the variables at all. For instance, while there is a negative correlation between hours of sleep and tiredness, there is likely no correlation found between hours of sleep and shoe size.
