Divine Light and Universal Manifestation in Attar's Mokhtar Nameh (Chapter 4, Poem 7)
In Chapter 4, Poem 7 of Attar's Mokhtar Nameh, the poet explores the Sufi concept of divine manifestation (tajalli). He posits that everything in both the material and spiritual worlds is merely a reflection of the Divine Light. The poem suggests that as long as this limited manifestation continues, the illusion of multiplicity persists; however, when the Beloved (referred to metaphorically as 'the Turk') reveals His absolute essence, all concepts of time, space, and separateness vanish, leaving only the singular Divine Reality.
