In Section 16 of Jami's Baharestan, the mystic Abu al-Hasan Nuri teaches that knowledge of God depends entirely on divine self-disclosure: whomever God conceals Himself from, no rational proof (دلیل) or transmitted report (خبر) can bring to that person. The accompanying quatrain reinforces this through the veil (پرده) motif — when the Beloved withholds His face, no one can lift the veil from Him, and even if the whole world became a veil it would be no obstacle where He chooses to display His beauty. The core teaching is that unveiling is an act of divine grace and initiative, not something the seeker's reasoning, argument, or effort can compel.
