Early Intervention Programs
Early intervention programs are initiatives designed to assist children who face disadvantages, such as coming from low-income backgrounds or having special needs. These programs offer a variety of services aimed at maximizing a child's development and positioning them for optimal success in school and later life. Psychological research generally indicates that these programs are effective; while their short-term effects are typically more pronounced, there is evidence that many of them also produce long-term benefits for participants.
