Economic Rationale of the No-Shirking Wage Components

An employer uses a model to set a wage just high enough to prevent an employee from shirking. This wage is composed of three key parts: the employee's reservation wage, a component to cover the cost of effort, and an additional premium (or rent). Analyze the economic role of each of these three components. For each component, explain why its inclusion is necessary to incentivize the employee to work diligently rather than shirk.
