Effect of Physical Activity of Taekwondo: Catharsis through Mimesis
It was found that the study participants’ experience of success in reproducing the skills of the athletes they want to emulate and achieving the purpose of reproducing and executing the skills made them feel catharsis regarding the accomplishment.
These success experiences provide greater catharsis when they take place during demonstrations performances than during practice. This success experiences in sports activities have a positive effect on adaptive behavior and control of deviant behavior in society.
