Effect of Physical Activity of Taekwondo: Catharsis through Mimesis

Study participants experienced catharsis when they succeeded in reproducing the skills of athletes they wanted to emulate. This mimesis-based catharsis was stronger during demonstration performances than during practice, and these success experiences had a positive effect on adaptive behavior and control of deviant behavior in society.
