Effectiveness of Group-Based Psychotherapy for Young Adults and Their Parents Before Attending University
Researchers provided a group intervention program for young adults currently receiving mental health care services, as well as their parents over a period of 6 months. The program covered topics such as preparing for new responsibilities and coping mechanisms for managing a mental disorder. After the program, 100% of young adults and their parents deemed the program acceptable for a friend or family member. In addition, researchers noted that participants' future outlook greatly improved after the duration of the intervention program.
