Electra Complex

The Electra complex, a term proposed by Carl Jung, describes a girl's desire for her father's attention and a wish to replace her mother. Although often associated with Freudian theory as a counterpart to the Oedipus complex, Freud himself later rejected the idea. Despite this, it is still frequently discussed within the context of his work.
