Evaluating a Claim about Wage Increases

An individual has 112 hours per week to allocate between work and leisure, and their only source of income is their hourly wage. They receive a significant raise. A colleague argues, 'With your new, higher wage, every single combination of leisure and consumption that was possible for you before is now suboptimal. You can always do better.' Evaluate the colleague's statement. Is it completely accurate? Justify your answer by explaining what happens to the set of possible consumption-leisure combinations, paying special attention to the outcome if the individual chooses not to work at all.
