Evaluating an Experimental Design for Fairness

An experimental setup gives one individual (the 'Proposer') a sum of money and complete authority to decide how to divide it with a second, anonymous individual (the 'Recipient'). The Recipient has no influence over the decision and must accept any allocation made by the Proposer, who is aware of all these rules. Critically evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of using this specific setup to measure a Proposer's inherent sense of fairness.
