Short Answer

Evaluating Economic Efficiency

A self-sufficient farmer is deciding how to allocate their time between work (producing grain) and leisure. At their current choice, the amount of grain they would be willing to sacrifice for one more hour of leisure is less than the amount of grain they could produce by working that hour. Is this allocation efficient? Explain your reasoning and describe how the farmer could improve their overall well-being.
