Evaluating the Viability of a Loan

Imagine a scenario with two individuals. Person X has a surplus of seed but is physically unable to work the land. Person Y is a skilled farmer willing to work but has no seed. A potential loan of seed from Person X to Person Y is being considered. However, due to poor soil quality, the expected harvest from planting the seed is only projected to be 5% larger than the amount of seed planted. Evaluate whether a loan agreement under these conditions is likely to be mutually beneficial. Justify your conclusion by explaining the perspectives of both Person X and Person Y.
