Evidence for Sleep Affecting Misinformation Susceptibility

Participants in the 12-hour wake condition endorsed fewer misinformation items than the other non-immediate conditions. Notably, they endorsed slightly fewer misinformation items than the 12-hour sleep condition. The immediate condition had the highest endorsement rate of correct information and the lowest rate of misinformation endorsement. The immediate and 12-hour awake groups had a lower magnitude of the misinformation effect than both overnight groups.
