Case 3: A Negotiated Win-Win Outcome at (16, 32)

The outcome of 'Case 3' is a negotiated agreement where Angela works for eight hours (leaving 16 hours of free time) in exchange for 32 bushels of grain. This allocation, represented by the point (16, 32), is a Pareto improvement over the initial offer N, as both Angela and Bruno are better off. This mutually beneficial agreement is located on the segment between points P and R on the Pareto efficiency curve, as illustrated in Figure 5.19.
