Example Calculation of the Multiplier (k)

A numerical example can illustrate how to calculate the value of the multiplier (k). Given a marginal propensity to consume (c1c_1) of 0.6, the multiplier is calculated using the formula k=11c1k = \frac{1}{1-c_1}. The calculation is as follows: k=110.6=10.4=2.5k = \frac{1}{1-0.6} = \frac{1}{0.4} = 2.5.
