Example of Cross-Sectional Research: Dietary Habits Study

To investigate age-related differences in dietary habits without waiting decades, researchers could use a cross-sectional approach. Instead of tracking a single group of people for 20 years, they would simultaneously survey and compare distinct groups of individuals at different ages—such as a group of 20-year-olds, a group of 30-year-olds, and a group of 40-year-olds.
