To plot these numbers accurately on a number line, place them step-by-step according to their mathematical form. Begin with the integers: $4$ and $-3$ are plotted directly on their labeled integer marks. Next, locate the proper fractions: the fraction $rac{3}{4}$ sits between $0$ and $1$ , so the interval is divided into four equal sections and marked at the third point. The negative proper fraction $- rac{1}{4}$ is located between $0$ and $-1$ , marked at the first interval to the left of zero.
