Example of Range of Reaction in Intellectual Potential

The Range of Reaction theory can be observed when considering individuals with varying genetic potentials placed in different environments. A child with a very strong genetic background for intelligence may fail to reach their full potential if placed in an environment that lacks stimulation. This demonstrates that genetic potential alone does not guarantee intellectual achievement; the environmental context is equally crucial.
