Example of Varying Behavior in Social Roles

An individual's conduct often shifts to match their current social role. For example, a person might be relaxed, jocular, and informal when acting in their role as a family member at a gathering. However, in their role as an employee at their workplace, the same person would likely adopt a more professional, serious, and task-oriented demeanor.
