- When parents effectively encourage their children during activities, it could extend their opportunities to learn skills involved in their activity. 
- Letting a child know what they are supposed to write, using encouragement during writing activity improves their fine motor skills.
- Providing positive feedback will also help children improve their "behind on" skills because they aren't reprimanded for doing it wrong.

Parent's behaviors affect children's motor skills (object-control skills and locomotor skills)
Although these behaviors help manage their disabilities, "+" parenting doesn't dramatically change the children's skills in a short period. It takes time as it haves an accumulated effect on the child's motor skill development over time.

This program offers treatments/prevention for severe behavioral, emotional, and developmental problems in children from ages 0 to 16 by enhancing their parents' knowledge, skills, and confidence. This is meant to teach parents positive parenting behaviors that work best for their child.
There are five levels to the program.

The triple P positive parenting program

The capacity for someone to perform bodily movements, such as walking or jumping.

Locomotor Skills

The capacity for someone to handle or manipulate an object. Some examples include throwing, catching, striking, or bouncing an object.

Object-Control skills

Examples of Positive Parenting Behaviors

•It improves their emotions and behaviors.

•When children are in a positive environment, it helps them learn how to manage their emotional arousal better, cope with emotion-inducing situations, and manage their behaviors better.

•Also helps children overcome fear and accept disappointment and frustration, allowing them to strengthen their motor skills.
