Includes guide books, newspapers, magazines, textbooks, and leaflets. 

Expository passages are considered to be more difficult to comprehend compared to narrative passages.

- Its vocabulary is technical and unfamiliar, as opposed to accessible, as many terms are further explained and defined to make them more accessible for an unfamiliar reader.
