30-day mortality was also significantly greater in those experiencing pulmonary complications than those that didn’t not experience complications at 38.0% and 8.7%, respectively.

30-day morality of those experiencing acute distress syndrome, pneumonia, or unexpected postoperative ventilation were 63.0%, 37.9%, and 41.7%, respectively.
