Findings on Azithromycin as a COVID-19 Intervention in a New York City Study

In a study of hospitalized COVID-19 patients in New York City, the use of azithromycin alone did not significantly alter the hazard ratio for in-hospital mortality. Additionally, patients receiving azithromycin did not exhibit higher odds of cardiac arrest or abnormal ECG findings compared to those receiving hydroxychloroquine, a combination of both drugs, or neither drug.
