Fixed Investment (Gross Fixed Capital Formation)

Also known as gross fixed capital formation, fixed investment refers to spending within the national accounts framework. It encompasses expenditures by both firms and the government on new capital assets, such as equipment and commercial buildings. Additionally, it includes all spending on newly constructed residential dwellings, including those purchased by households.
