Formula

Formula for Selecting the Best Candidate via a Verifier

The selection of the best candidate, y^\hat{\mathbf{y}}, from a set of candidates Dc\mathcal{D}_c is achieved by identifying the candidate that maximizes the score of a verifier function, V(y)V(\mathbf{y}). This process is formally expressed using the argmax operator: y^=arg maxyDc V(y)\hat{\mathbf{y}} = \underset{\mathbf{y} \in \mathcal{D}_c}{\text{arg max}} \ V(\mathbf{y})
