Frequency of a Wave
Frequency is defined as the number of waves that pass a specific point in a given period of time. There is an inverse relationship between a wave's frequency and its wavelength; longer wavelengths correspond to lower frequencies, while shorter wavelengths are associated with higher frequencies.

Inverse Relationship Between Wavelength and Frequency
Imagine four different waves are measured. Which of the following descriptions represents the wave with the longest wavelength?
Consider two distinct waves, Wave A and Wave B. For Wave A, the measured distance from the highest point of one wave to the highest point of the very next wave is 10 nanometers. For Wave B, the same measurement is 20 nanometers. Based on an analysis of this information, what can you conclude?
