It was more common for men (compared to women) to dislike a lack of integrity in their co-workers. On the other hand, females were more likely to dislike behavior that was self-centered and inconsiderate. However, the chi squared levels for these results did not reach significance.

Females included more positive constructs in their descriptions of disliked co-workers (Chi squared = 3.522, p < .05). Additionally, they included more negative constructs in their descriptions of liked co-workers when compared to males (Chi squared = 7.130, p < .01).

Gender was found to have the largest contribution for the differences of the descriptions of disliked co-workers--but not for liked co-workers.

The construct systems of liked individuals were found to be more tightly organized than those of disliked others; that is, more of the terms used to describe liked co-workers were in the same three categories (considerate, personable, and integrity). That is, there was less variety in describing co-workers that were liked.
