Goals of the Social Change Model of Leadership Development

  1. To develop and support student learning, particularly self-knowledge (understanding your own values, talents, and interests as they relate to leadership) and leadership competence (the capacity to work within your own limits and engage with others to serve and work collaboratively).
  2. To enact positive social change both in the community and at an institutional level that help the institution/community to be more effective and humane.
