The 7 values important to the Social Change Model of Leadership Development (also known as ‘The Seven C’s’) are:
- Consciousness of Self
- Congruence
- Commitment
- Collaboration
- Common Purpose
- Controversy with Civility
- Citizenship


Seven Values of the Social Change Model

1. To develop and support student learning, particularly self-knowledge (understanding your own values, talents, and interests as they relate to leadership) and leadership competence (the capacity to work within your own limits and engage with others to serve and work collaboratively). 
2. To enact positive social change both in the community and at an institutional level that help the institution/community to be more effective and humane.

Goals of the Social Change Model of Leadership Development

The Social Change Model (SCM) of leadership development describes the leadership development of an individual that is purposeful, a collaborative process, and value-based focused on positive social change.
