During a manic episode, an individual may feel that they have the energy, ability, or desire to take up multiple tasks at the same time. These tasks can be several time and energy consuming tasks rather than something small and easy to accomplish.

During a manic episode, an individual may feel and exhibit a sense of grandiosity about themselves. They may feel extremely high in their self-esteem and have high confidence. Some other behaviors may include acts such as quitting a job to invest in the stock market because their faith in such acts bring them more financial gain.

Individuals during a manic episodes often exhibit high energy with little need for sleep. Some can endure days with no sleep during a manic episode. 

Sleep Deprivation in Manic Episodes

During a manic episode, an individual may engage in reckless behavior that are often times pleasurable to them. Such behaviors can result in serious harm to the individual themselves and also those around them.
