During a manic episode, an individual may engage in reckless behavior that are often times pleasurable to them. Such behaviors can result in serious harm to the individual themselves and also those around them.

Flight of ideas is a symptom of mania. This symptom involves suddenly shifting between ideas in conversations.

Flight of Ideas

During a manic episode, an individual may feel and exhibit a sense of grandiosity about themselves. They may feel extremely high in their self-esteem and have high confidence. Some other behaviors may include acts such as quitting a job to invest in the stock market because their faith in such acts bring them more financial gain.

Grandiosity during Manic Episodes

During a manic episode, an individual may talk excessively or frequently strike up conversations with friends, families, and even strangers. 

Excessive Talkative Behavior in Manic Episodes

Individuals during a manic episodes often exhibit high energy with little need for sleep. Some can endure days with no sleep during a manic episode.
