Habituation to Observation

In undisguised naturalistic observation, participants often become accustomed to the researcher's presence over time. Although they may initially exhibit reactivity, people eventually habituate to being monitored and resume their natural behaviors, much like participants on long-running reality television shows who eventually act uninhibited.
