Handling a Technician Pull for an Emergency Call

If a high-priority emergency forces you to pull a technician from a scheduled job, contact the affected customer right away. Apologize for the change, explain that the appointment has been moved, and give the customer a specific replacement time window. Mark the emergency clearly on the dispatch board with a priority label such as "EMERGENCY" or "PRIORITY" so it is easy to track in scheduling and reporting. Use capacity-planning tools to rearrange the remaining work so the rest of the day stays organized.
