Literacy

Information literacy refers to an individual's ability to identify an information need, then find, access, recover, evaluate, organize, and use the information 
To be information literate, one needs to have critical thinking, comprehension, and abstraction skills.

Media Literacy

Visual literacy encompasses the knowledge and skills required to locate, understand, assess, use, and construct visual media.  Visual literacy skills include analyzing aspects of a visual work’s context, culture, ethics, aesthetics, ideas, concepts, expression, and technical properties.

Civic literacy encompasses the knowledge and skills required to understand the functions and processes of government; keep informed on civic issues; understand and exercise the rights and obligations of citizenship; understand the local, state, national, and global impact of decisions; and successfully and equitably engage with a diverse society.

Civic Literacy

The broad set of geography-based knowledge that allow learners to understand the world and its interconnections, as well as make sound decisions personally and professionally.
