Holding Fast to the Jewel of Truth in Attar's Mokhtar Nameh (Chapter 31, Poem 19)
In Chapter 31, Poem 19 of Attar's Mokhtar Nameh, the poet uses the metaphor of an empty casket (حقه) to convey a spiritual lesson. He advises the seeker that because their inner being is often empty of the true essence (the "jewel of truth"), they must fiercely guard any fragment of truth they manage to obtain, ensuring it never slips from their grasp.
