Host Range of Plant Viruses

Plant viruses can exhibit either a narrow or broad host range. For example, the citrus tristeza virus has a highly restricted host range, infecting only a few species within the genus Citrus, whereas the cucumber mosaic virus displays a broad host range, infecting thousands of plant species across diverse plant families.
