Ice Cream Truck Example of Acquisition

An everyday example of acquisition involves an ice cream truck. The truck's music starts as a neutral stimulus. Biting into the ice cream is the unconditioned stimulus, causing the mouth to water, which is the unconditioned response. Through repeated pairings, the music becomes a conditioned stimulus that alone triggers the mouth to water, now a conditioned response.
