The 8-question survey was based on the benefits of the flipped classroom model. It allowed researchers to know the opinions and perceptions of the student's regarding the model. Survey results were analyzed using the Aquad7 program, which created categories and quantification of student answers for analysis.

This study used a quasi-experimental (non-random) design with two groups. One group attended traditional class and the second group learned using the flipped classroom model. Both groups also used the collaborative learning method. Upon completion of the course, students filled out an online survey to determine progress. 

The researcher investigated the following two questions:
-  Are there significant differences in the academic results between the two groups of students?
-  What is the opinion of the students in respect to the implementation of the flipped classroom model?
