In-person CBT vs Electronically Delivered CBT
Electronically delivered CBT (eCBT sessions) is an option many clinics provide to treat major depressive disorder. A meta-analysis shows that eCBT is as effective as in-person CBT, and there are no significant differences in patient satisfaction between the two CBT formats. Though, more people are likely to benefit from eCBT as it allows for increased patient visitation by removing physical barriers (seen in-person CBT) like travel time, cost of travel, and arranging childcare and time off work.
