Influence of schema on attention

We are more likely to remember details that are consistent with the schemas that are present. If we expect someone to be a certain archetype based on our schema of them, then we will be more likely to recall details that are congruent with that schema. 

Influence of schemas on memory

The way that we interpret information can be affected by schemas. This is most common in ambiguous situations. 

Influence of schemas on construal

Certain schemas can trigger behaviors. Example: showing participants dollar signs can lead to increased betting.
