Internal Signs of Identity Switch in Dissociative Identity Disorder

When a dissociative identity disorder patient switches between identities, they experience the following internal signs:

  • Having flashbacks.
  • Experiencing time-lapse.
  • Loss of memory.
  • Experiencing a trance-like state.
  • A lack of awareness of reality.
  • Visual or auditory hallucinations.
  • Inability to remember how to perform a skill.
  • Undergoing an "out of body" experience.
