Interpreting Preference from a Graph

An individual's preferences are represented on a graph with consumption on the vertical axis and free time on the horizontal axis. A downward-sloping, convex curve on this graph represents all combinations of consumption and free time that give the individual the same level of satisfaction. Consider two combinations: Bundle X and Bundle Y. If Bundle Y is located on the graph at a point that is above the curve that passes through Bundle X, explain the logical reason why Bundle Y must be preferred to Bundle X.
