Interventionalists are paraprofessionals who focus on addressing students' behavioral and academic issues in a school setting. They observe students and develop plans to reduce distractions and improve both behavior and learning. Interventionalists may remove students from the general classroom to provide targeted academic support or to offer mental and physical breaks, such as going for a walk or playing an educational game.
