Intimacy as a Dimension of Tie Strength

Intimacy is one of the dimensions of tie strength (alongside amount of time and mutual reciprocity) described in the parent Measurement framework. It is operationalized by indicators such as whether two people discuss topics that signal a closer personal connection, for example more personal or sensitive matters, rather than only superficial ones.
