Studies showed that there is a significant association between psychosocial job stress and high BMI. Another study suggested that Emergency Department Nurses have a higher potential risk of developing stress-related disorders in later life. Additionally critical care nurses observe higher psychosocial stress during their first two years of working as a nurse.
