Kerschbaum's Theory of Rhetorical Agency and Disability Disclosure
Since, according to Kerschbaum, agentive rhetorics should be considered in the context of the societal constructs and contexts. Additionally, agentive rhetoric occurs in spaces where an individuals rhetoric pushes against the social construct and context of another person, irregardless of whether the listener changes their response in that instance. But, also speakers can choose whether they want to push on a construction and instead either intentionally or unintentionally tailor their rhetoric to the perceived level of adherence to certain stereotypes by the audience
