Limitations of Buffering Strategies Against Discrimination

While personal resources like social support and coping mechanisms can lessen the harm caused by discrimination, they are not a complete solution and cannot erase all negative impacts. Therefore, systemic approaches, such as vigilant anti-discrimination efforts and legal protections for vulnerable populations, remain essential for addressing the root causes of discrimination-related stress and its health consequences.
