Limitations include lack of power, measurement issues and data collection. The A priori minimum sample was 128 participants but the current study had 111 participants and therefore had less power to detect significance. Secondly, measurement of athletes versus nonathletes was self reported which means no confirmation of whether they were practicing and competing regularly as a part of their program. Lastly, data collection was not monitored and could have been influenced by peers.
