Little Albert's Fear of a Santa Claus Mask
As a key demonstration of stimulus generalization in the Little Albert experiment, the baby's conditioned fear of a white rat was transferred to other furry objects. This was famously illustrated by his fearful reaction to a Santa Claus mask with a white beard. A photograph from the study captures Little Albert crawling away from the mask, accompanied by the caption, 'Now he fears even Santa Claus.'
